In a radiant display of joy and unity, the SEZ Milad Carnival took place at the Henry Pedris Grounds on February 10th & 11th 2024, which transformed into a grand celebration, marking the auspicious occasion of Aqa Maula’s (TUS) 80th Milad.
Over two enchanting days, this meticulously organized event welcomed 2000+ Mumineen and special invitees from all over Colombo & Jaffna, becoming a vibrant tapestry of camaraderie and festivity.
The festivities began with an online entry ticket system for the first time. Attendees enjoyed ample parking facilities, ensuring a stress-free start. As the sun set, the grounds came alive with the promise of a night filled with excitement.
Entertainment unfolded in various forms, ensuring something for everyone. Three lively game stalls hosted engaging challenges and thrilling prizes, while thirteen food and juice stalls offered a delectable assortment.
For thrill-seekers, the carnival boasted five exhilarating rides. From a whimsical train ride for little ones to a delightful swan ride for families, and adrenaline-pumping Octopus and Galaxy rides for bold spirits – the carnival promised an unforgettable adventure.
On Sunday morning at 10 am, the carnival hosted underprivileged kids. Gifts distributed on behalf of Aqa Maula (TUS) added magic to their day. The children reveled in the joy of rides, their laughter harmonizing with the sweet aroma of candy floss.
Such a celebration wouldn’t have been possible without sponsors, with special appreciation to Devi Jewellers, the main sponsors. Their contribution, alongside others, ensured the carnival’s success and left an indelible mark.
The carnival wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of unity, happiness, and the spirit of togetherness within the Mumineen community. Families and friends forged lasting memories, and the grounds became a canvas of shared joy.
As we bid adieu to this extraordinary carnival, the echoes of joy linger, and memories warm our hearts. Until the next Carnival, let the spirit of this event continue to resonate, reminding us of the beauty found in coming together to celebrate life, love, and unity under the care of our beloved Maula (TUS).
May Allah grant our Maula (TUS) a long and healthy life, Ameen.
