Not all heroes wear capes, some wear gloves and carry a trash bag to clean the beach.
A beach clean-up was organized by Umoor Sehat in collaboration with Shababul Eidiz Zahabi on the 1st of October 2022 at 6 a.m.
Early in the morning, a group of more than 30 enthusiastic volunteers arrived to kickstart the campaign, braving the strong winds and rain.
Items from the beach area were gathered, segregated, and disposed of, including glass, hard plastic, other plastic, wood, rubber, and other items.
Breakfast was served to all the volunteers after the event.
This beach clean-up effort will be followed by a number of clean-up activities at various locations throughout the city this year.
The objective of this effort is to enhance the coastal and ocean ecosystem while also making the beach a nicer, safer area.
